Maidstone striker James Pinnock and hot prospect Tom Parkinson have both rejected advances from rival clubs.

The pair are seen as key figures for new boss Peter Nott as he looks to turn relegation-threatened Maidstone into Ryman League Premier Division play-off challengers.

Nott was quick to record his first win in his second game in charge last Thursday against Carshalton, with 11-goal Pinnock (pictured) – who was wanted by Billericay – scoring the only goal of the game, and the Stones manager is keen to keep his squad together.

He said: "Both have been offered considerably more money and, after long discussions, they have pledged their immediate future to the club.

"That says a lot about the team spirit here and we’re delighted."

Nott signed Craig Stone last week to fill a void in midfield but he’s ruled out major changes at the moment.
