Jobs go at car firm

Fifty jobs have been lost after a car firm went into administration.

The Whitehouse garage in The Broadway, Maidstone, went into administration earlier this week.

The firm has been stocking cars from the Chrysler Group for more than 75 years. Staff were only told the news on Tuesday. A further 20 jobs could be affected.

Menzies Corporate Restructuring has been appointed as administrator. The company is looking into various options to help save the business, which also includes a possible partial trade sale which could see parts of the business being sold to different companies.
