She said: “I was going for a jog around Postley Park and a man on his motorbike started doing rings around me and revving it up. I told him he shouldn’t have the bike in the park.”

Mrs Thompson managed to escape the motorcyclist but was confronted by his girlfriend just moments later.

The mother-of-one said: “As I got to the skate park a woman came up to me and said ‘don’t speak to my boyfriend’ and she ran for me.

"She pushed me and I smashed my head on the floor. She started attacking me and three men with her started kicking me. They spread my legs and started kicking me in the genitals. They stabbed me with something like a rusty nail.”

One suspect has been described as a white woman in her 20s with mousey brown hair in a ponytail. She had a small nose and blue eyes. She was wearing a V-neck T-shirt and Air Force One training shoes and had heavy make-up.
