A ginger cat who went missing four months ago sparking a huge campaign has been found.
Marmie disappeared from his garden in Haydon Close, Barming in July.
His plight prompted owner Tracy Brewster, 52, to organise a march through the centre of Maidstone and even dress as Garfield to complete a 50-mile walk to Essex to raise awareness.
Posters and T-shirts with Marmie's face on were printed and Miss Brewster even lost her job as a housekeeper as she led the 24-hour, seven-day-a-week quest to bring him home. The moggie's dedicated followers were even known as Marmie's Army.
And tonight, those efforts look to have paid off.
Miss Brewster posted on Facebook to thousands of supporters: "My baby has been found
"He is in Surrey and I am going there to pick him up.
"A kindly family took him in and although he is a little thin he is is alive!
"I wont be able to be contacted by phone, facebook or twitter tonight as I have lots of lost cuddling time with my Marmie and intend to spend tonight with him uninterrupted.
"I now will have a Christmas! Thank you all my Marmie Army supporters. So emotional and overwhelmed by getting Marmie back."
It is not yet known how Marmie came to be in Surrey. His owner believes he was snatched from his garden and dumped elsewhere in Maidstone.
In September dozens of campaigners marched from County Hall through Maidstone in support of the cat.
Miss Brewster has spent £1,000 on the campaign that has attracted the attention of poet Pam Ayres and Made In Chelsea star Lucy Watson tweeted about the appeal.
A reward of £1,100 was even offered.
