Designer clothes chain Karen Millen is returning to Maidstone this summer.

A branch in the Royal Star Arcade closed suddenly earlier this year after the business was sold. The doors have remained closed ever since.

But a concession is due to open in House of Fraser on August 10.

Karen Millen, who lives near Maidstone, founded the business that went on to become a fashion phenomenon.

She and her business partner sold the company in 2004 in a £120m deal with Icelandic business Baugur.

The Autumn/Winter 2009 collection features will feature a return to the glamour of power dressing with hot splashes of colour along with a limited edition collection of just 500 pieces.
