The Kent Air Ambulance charity has been honoured for the support it gives its volunteers.
An Investing in Volunteers Standard has been given to the Marden-based charity, after it demonstrated it met 10 different areas of good practice.
Its volunteers regularly attend events and give talks as well as help fund raise.
The award was also given to the Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance services, making the three charities the first helicopter emergency medical services to get the award.
The award was made Tony Edwards, of Volunteering England. He is pictured (centre) with a group of Kent Air Ambulance volunteers.
David Philpott, chief executive of the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance Service, said: "We are delighted. Its is a great achievement and speaks volumes about how passionate the volunteers are."
