A Spitfire, a penguin and whisky have brought a beloved slice of tea time television to Kent.

BBC One hit Antiques Road Trip is heading to a host of towns around the county, including Ashford, Deal and Maidstone.

From Monday, February 3, antiques expert Raj Bisram, from Cranbrook, will be setting off with Natasha Raskin-Sharp in a 1960s Sunbeam classic car to bag some antique bargains.

In Maidstone a 1930s silver plated penguin picks up a profit, while a whisky noggin in Ashford proves to be a gamble.

A noggin is used for serving individual portions of whisky.

Tune in between February 3 and February 7 to see how the pair do with a 300-year-old oak coffer they find in Deal.

When Raj and Natasha aren't hunting for old wares, they stop off to restore a Spitfire at Biggin Hill Memorial Museum, near Bromley.

John Redshaw, executive producer at STV Productions, said: "Our much loved antiques experts are back on the road, searching high and low for weird and wonderful antiques.

"We hope that both fans and new viewers will tune in to this hugely popular show, which as always is full of laughs, friendly rivalries and lots of great characters."
