A Maidstone boy has come so close to winning the Britain's Got Talent final but it wasn't to be.
Ben Winchcombe, 10, and fellow members of DVJ (Diversity Juniors) dazzled the show's judges throughout the competition and were in with a chance of winning the talent show and winning a spot at the Royal Variety Performance.
The final three to go through to the ultimate vote were made up of Lost Voice Guy, singer Donchez Dacres and comedian Robert White.
And the ultimate winner as voted for by the British public was comedian Lost Voice Guy, a 37-year-old comedian who has cerebral palsy which leaves him unable to speak. His act was delivered by way of an artificial voice.
DVJ dance troupe is the brainchild of previous winner Ashley Banjo and Diversity, which stormed the competition in 2009.
Allington Primary School pupil, Ben, started dancing when he was four years old and rehearses with the group at Dancework Studio in Essex.
However, the group's success has been met with a mixed reception on social media, with some claiming they have benefited unfairly from the Diversity star's expert coaching.
Ahead of the final, Mr Banjo tweeted: "They deserve their own chance to follow their dreams and I am so incredibly proud to have been on this journey with them."
The Britain's Got Talent final aired tonight on ITV1 at 7.30pm.
