Police hunting two suspected distraction burglars have called in the force helicopter to help locate them.

Reports were made at around 3pm of an alleged distraction burglary in Shepway, Maidstone.

The suspects made off and although officers gave chase, they were unable to locate them. The police helicopter was then called in and is currently circling the area.

Earlier in the afternoon the helicopter, which covers Kent and Essex, was also called to help with a police chase on the M20 being carried out by Surrey police.

However, it was stood down between Junctions 5 and 6 when the chase came to a conclusion.
