The arrival of X Factor finalists Kingsland Road in Maidstone doubled the attendance at a teenage disco.
Former Maidstone Grammar School student Josh Zaré returned to his old stomping ground with his bandmates to perform at the first SNAP disco of 2014.
The Say No And Phone event, which is part of an anti-drugs campaign run by Kent Police and Crimestoppers, usually attracts around 350 teenagers, but last Friday, some 700 11 to 16-year-olds turned up.
Josh, 20, had said beforehand he was “buzzing” to be back in Maidstone, and the band, who played for around 45 minutes, tweeted afterwards: “Wow. What an amazing gig, our fans are literally priceless to us. You never let us down, and we LOVE YOU.”
