Maidstone: Appeal after knifepoint robbery on Sutton Road near Park Wood

CCTV images have been released after a knifepoint robbery at a petrol station in Maidstone.

The BP garage in Sutton Road was cordoned off after a man wielding a large kitchen knife demanded cash from staff.

The suspect escaped down an alleyway beside the building with money and a box of Corona lager.

The robbery happened at around 9.40pm on Saturday.

Officers have now released CCTV images of the suspect and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

He is described as wearing a dark nylon style hooded jacket with black lining inside the hood and elasticated cuffs.

Underneath he had on a light blue hooded top and white shirt.

The suspect wore blue tracksuit bottoms with three white stripes on each side of the leg and grey trainers, possibly Nike. His face was covered and he wore black gloves.
