The M20's coast bound carriageway was shut this afternoon after a crash near junction 7.

Police and paramedics were sent to the scene of the smash near the Detling Hill turn-off.

All traffic was initially stopped but now all lanes has reopened, although vehicles are still queuing.

A Kent Police spokesman said: "We were called to a collision on the M20, between junctions 7 and 8 coast bound, at 3.12pm. It is reported to involve four vehicles.

"The collision did briefly close the motorway but it had reopened by 3.28pm. At present, no injuries have been reported."
