Police are looking for a driver who fled the scene of an accident this morning.

It is believed they were involved in a two car collision between a Ford Focus and a Vauxhall Astra on Sutton Road at 8am.

A female driver was treated for neck injuries at the scene by paramedics but was not taken to hospital.

One lane was closed due to a collision between two cars which took place at 8am.

It was reopened at 9.35am.

The incident took place close to the BP garage and the closure is in place between Willington Street and Gore Road.

Fire fighters from Kent Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene in case anybody needed to be cut from their vehicles, but left at 8.30am.
