Lashings supremo David Folb, pictured, will set out his plan to take over Maidstone United in a takeover proposal due to be delivered to the club on Tuesday.
Lashings representative Glenn Aitken – a former Stones player – will attend the Ryman League, Premier Division season-opener at Harrow on Saturday and will also be present on Tuesday when Maidstone entertain Hastings.
Stones chairman Paul Bowden-Brown expects to present the proposal to fellow shareholders Oliver Ash and Bill Williams after the game at Homelands.
Mr Aitken said: "We still have further questions which need answering about the finances. The club have been forthcoming with information during the process and I’m sure we will be in a position to submit the proposal by Tuesday morning."
Mr Bowden-Brown is expected to be asked to pay off a raft of creditors before any Lashings takeover is completed.
Mr Aitken said: "The club understands what we are saying. We will make it clear in the proposal how much we are prepared to take on."
Despite Mr Bowden-Brown insisting there is no rush to conclude a deal, Mr Aitken said: "If a problem can’t be solved in a quick time then it is probably unsolvable.
"The fans have the feeling that the possible death of the club is imminent."
