Do you want to be a professional footballer?
It's your last chance to enter SEFA Street 2009 - the football competition which is offering one child a trial with Chelsea.
Chelsea and Soccer Elite FA have teamed up with the Kent Messenger to find their next wonderkid footballer – right here in Maidstone.
They are looking for next season’s under-nine footballers with the skills to open up a defence, break up an attack or score a crucial goal just like John Terry, Frank Lampard and Joe Cole.
Initial trials will be held during the SEFA Street football festival next week, being held on the artificial pitch at Maplesden Noakes school in Great Buckland, Maidstone.
The event will be run by Soccer Academy FA coaches – who already run successful coaching programmes in the area with links to many professional clubs – for boys and girls playing in Kent.
The best players will be invited back for more coaching sessions until a team of 10 finalists is chosen.
These will be taken up to Chelsea’s training ground for a match against a Chelsea youth team, when the coaches who built the careers of stars like England captain John Terry will be watching.
At the end of that game, one footballing wonderkid will be given the chance of a lifetime to join Chelsea’s academy squad and take the first step towards a dream career in the Premier League.
