kmfm has once again started the weekend with a big surprise for one listener, in the form of £1,000.

Their competition 'Thousand Pound Friday' invited listeners to text in to win the cash jackpot. From all of the entries, one is chosen at random and a surprise call back made.

It really was a shock for the winner, Pam Denham, as she was shopping in Morrisons, Larkfield with her family at the time.

Even after she was told on kmfm Drivetime by presenter Steve Reed that she had won she "couldn't believe it."

As soon as Pam was told she had won, the kmfm Street Team delivered the money to her home where she is now thinking what to do with her win.
