A two-car crash on a main road outside a hospital has caused long delays.
Three people were injured after the collision in Hermitage Lane, Maidstone, at around 8.30am.
The road was closed for a few hours while repair works to a telephone pole were completed.
Two fire engines were sent to the scene before handing things over to police to deal with.
A fire service spokeswoman added: ”We were called at 8.25 am today to reports of a crash involving two vehicles in Hermitage Lane, Maidstone.
“Two fire engines attended, and crews helped to make the scene safe. Duty of care was left with Kent Police.”
Kent County Council said there are “long delays” on the road outside Maidstone Hospital and in the surrounding and people should “approach with caution and allow extra time” for their journey.
The Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust has told people there are some delays getting to the site.
The Woodstock Cafe, which is just off Hermitage Lane, had to shut early, at around midday, due to traffic problem.
Trinity Veterinary Care, which is found near the hospital, said: “There has been an accident outside the hospital which has caused Hermitage lane to be closed.
“Traffic is backing up and you may need to find alternative routes if you have an appointment.”
