Commuters are facing long delays driving into Maidstone this morning.

Kent Highways is advising people to expect delays due to congestion around the town centre.

It is thought to be due to the sheer weight of traffic.

On the A20, Ashford Road, roadworks are taking place today and tomorrow from 9.30am to 3pm, meaning traffic will be managed with stop and go paddle boards

Meanwhile,an accident on the M20 caused rush hour problems between Leeds Castle and Maidstone this morning, but has now cleared.
