Drivers faced rush-hour delays after an accident near a town centre.

The collision happened in Queen's Road in Maidstone shortly after 4.30pm.

Following the incident, Kent Highways warned drivers of heavy traffic along the A20 at nearby Fairmeadow.

Images show motorists queuing along the route from the Stacey Street roundabout to St Peter's Bridge for about two hours..

It is not yet known if anyone was injured.
