Drivers experienced long tailbacks on the way into Maidstone this morning.

Two lanes of the A249 southbound were blocked due to an accident, involving a lorry.

It happened between Detling and the M20 roundabout at J7 for Maidstone.

Several police cars and an ambulance were at the scene.

It is not yet known if there are any injuries.

The road was cleared by 9.45am.
