A main road is partially blocked this afternoon by a lorry facing the wrong way on a dual carriageway.

Police were called to the Chatham-bound side of the A229 Blue Bell Hill at 2.45pm to reports the vehicle was pointing down the hill instead of up.

The lorry is causing an obstruction and one lane is currently closed until it can be recovered.

Police are on the scene and it is not yet known whether anyone was injured or if the lorry was involved in a collision.
