A crash involving two lorry and a car blocked the London-bound carriageway of a motorway.

All three lanes of the M20 close to Junction 8 (Maidstone Services) were shut as police and medics are at the scene.

The crash happened shortly after 12pm and is the second crash to have taken place on the M20 today.

A spokesman said: "Kent Police was called to a collision involving two lorries and car on the London-bound carriageway of the M20 by Junction 8 .

"Officers received the report at 11.28am . The South East Coast Ambulance Service was also in attendance. The road was clear by about 2pm."

One lane remained closed while the vehicles were recovered from the scene.
