Eight suspected migrants have been handed over to immigration enforcement after a lorry driver found people in his trailer.
Police were called to the M20 at Maidstone yesterday at around 12.30pm following a 999 call made by the lorry driver.
A spokesman for the force confirmed the people involved were taken to Dover for immigration teams to carry out their investigations.
They said: "Police were called to the M20, between junctions 4 and 3 Londonbound, at 12.26pm on Friday following a report that a lorry driver had found people in his trailer.
"Officers attended and the eight people were handed over to the Home Office immigration enforcement facility in Dover."
