A motorway is currently blocked due to an overturned vehicle.

The incident has taken place on the M20 eastbound between Junction 8 for Maidstone and Junction 9 for Ashford.

According to traffic monitoring site, Inrix, there are long delays due to the crash.

National Highways expects things to clear by around 10pm.

It posted on Twitter, formerly X, saying: “Due to an overturned vehicle, traffic on the M20 is currently being held eastbound.

“Traffic officers and emergency services are working at the scene to reopen the lanes.

“Please approach with care as delays are building.”
