James Gosnell named as victim of yesterday's fatal M20 accident between junction 4 for Leybourne and 2 for Wrotham

The man killed in a motorway accident yesterday has been identified as James Gosnell.

The 32-year-old, from Plumstead, died at the scene after a black Jaguar X-Type crashed through a nearside barrier.

It happened shortly before 11.30am close to junction 4 for Leybourne and paramedics at the scene were unable to save him.

Police investigators remained at the scene for close to six hours and the M20 coast-bound was closed between junction 2 for Wrotham and 4 until around 5pm.

The M26 coast-bound was also closed.

It is not believed that any other vehicles were involved in the accident but Kent Police would like to speak with anybody who may have seen the accident happen.
