A family is considering taking legal action after a machete-wielding intruder tried to attack them while on a luxury holiday.
The Lee family, from Maidstone, were saved by their teenage son Redmond, when the armed and masked intruder entered their apartment at the Southern Palms Hotel at St Lawrence Gap in Barbados.
The 13-year-old, who has been doing Kung Fu for five years, grabbed the intruder and put him in an arm lock.
His father then wrestled him to the ground and managed to throw him out onto the balcony and he ran off.
Dane Lee, 44, his wife, Benita, 45, and their two children, Redmond , 13, and Millina , 11, are now considering legal action against their holiday company after the terrifying experience on the £3,000-plus trip.
Mr Lee, from Maidstone, said: "I was in the bathroom when an intruder climbed over a wall and onto our balcony.
"My 11-year-old daughter, Millina, was sitting there at the time.
"She ran screaming into the apartment and the intruder followed her. His face was masked and he was holding a machete."
