Dan Stubbs fires Maidstone ahead against Tooting & Mitcham but the visitors came from behind to win. Picture: Gary Browne
Maidstone surrendered the lead as they went down 2-1 at home to Tooting & Mitcham in the Ryman League Premier Division on Saturday.
Dan Stubbs's first half goal was cancelled out by two late strikes by Tooting's Matt York and Aaron Goode lost for the second time this season.
It was Stones who struck first four minutes before the break when he drilled low past keeper Dave King from the edge of the box.
Alan McLeod almost levelled for the visitors but his effort hit the bar - but York did equalise on 70 minutes with a free-kick that struck both posts before crossing the line after a foul by Roland Edge on Paul Vines.
The winner came six minutes later when Maidstone failed to clear and Goode's header looped over the helpless Jamie Turner.
Billericay 1 Tonbridge Angels 1
Tonbridge took a point from their trip to Billericay.
The hosts were a man down in only the 23rd minute after Fiston Manuell was dismissed for a dreadful two-footed tackle on Jean-Michal Sigere.
But, surprisingly, it was Billericay who went in front eight minutes into the second half when Lawrence Diga's spectacular long-range effort was too good for Lee Worgan, who could only get a hand to it on its way into the net.
The Angels secured their point when Carl Rook converted from the penalty spot on 67 minutes after a handball.
