Maidstone ladies face what is likely to be their toughest test of the season on Saturday as they bid to make an immediate return to the Eastern Conference.
They travel to Norfolk to take on Dereham looking to maintain their winning start in the East Women’s Premier Division.
Maidstone began with a 2-0 win at Colchester last Saturday and captain Rachel Thompson said: "It was a good start to the season. We had not played them before so we didn’t know what to expect."
She added: "We have Dereham next and they look like being our strongest opponents for the title.
"We have got some new players in this season, Louise Cassey has joined from Holcombe and Kirsty Hotson is back with us. Hopefully we will have a good season."
Thompson said promising forward Maria Miles, who turned 16 this week, will feature after scoring for the 2nds last Saturday.
