A former Maidstone schoolboy has cruised into his dream job.

Christopher Dixon, from Vinters Park, only recently graduated from Performance Preparation Academy in Guilford, but has already secured his own cabaret show.

The 23-year-old, who attended Valley Park School in Huntsman Lane, will perform around the Mediterranean on board the Aida Diva cruise ship.

The musical theatre graduate said: “I am very lucky that I am going straight into a job, which will also double as a once-in-a-lifetime experience travelling the world.

“It’s an amazing feeling, finding something that I love and hopefully be able to make a successful career out of.”
