Rugby coach Andy Foley has warned Maidstone to expect a battle in the regional final of the Senior Vase.
Foley’s London 3 South East champions host Cambridge club Cantabrigian at The Mote on Saturday, knowing victory will leave them one game away from the national final at Twickenham.
He said: "We’re playing for a big prize so I’d imagine both sides will be going at it hammer and tongs.
"We’ve been here before and that potentially gives us the composure needed to get through but it will be a tough game.
"There’s more excitement than nerves and the players can’t wait to get the game on. We wanted to win the league, which we’ve done, and now we want to get to Twickenham."
Cantabrigian are only fifth in London 3 North East but Foley (pictured) believes they can cause problems.
He added: "We haven’t been able to find out too much about them but we think they’re big up front and solid in the scrum and set-piece, which is where we expect them to take us on."
James Iles is set to return to the second row but Paul Hyland (ankle) misses out.
