Maidstone return to league action on Saturday after last weekend’s derby at Tonbridge was postponed.

Maidstone, in 12th place, entertain Boreham Wood at Homelands in the Ryman League Premier Division, where only 10 points separate fourth and 18th.

Stones joint-boss Lloyd Hume said: "It is incredibly tight and I think one win could take us back up to fifth. Boreham Wood and a number of teams overtook us at the weekend but we’ll work hard to get back up to the play-off places.

"It’s important to take that desire and level of performance from the FA Trophy match on Tuesday into the game against Boreham Wood. It was one of our best performances of the season and hopefully we can reproduce it.

"If they play like that for the rest of the season and steer clear of injury and suspension, then they can look forward to being at least in the play-offs."
