Maidstone United Football Club announce £40,000 shirt sponsorship deal with Britelite Windows

The Bring The Stones Home campaign has been boosted by a lucrative shirt sponsorship deal with Britelite Windows which has added momentum to Maidstone’s hopes of playing in the County Town next year.

The £20,000-a-year, two-year deal is the latest good news for the club, who aim to be playing at a newly-built ground on Whatman Way by August 2012.

Stones director and investor Terry Casey said: "The sponsorship deal is another positive step and we have to say now that this really is going to happen.

"The exact details of how we get over the last couple of hurdles have still to be finalised but this is not going to stop now. There is no going back.

"Britelite were the ones we wanted. They are high profile and synonymous with being a successful local company. It is good business for them as well as us, they’ll benefit from good publicity – this is not a charitable donation."

The firm is the south east’s largest independent supplier of windows, doors and conservatories and has an association with the club dating back to the 1980s.

The Stones shirt will bear the Britelite logo during the coming season when United will groundshare at Sittingbourne, as well as their first season back in Maidstone.

Britelite chairman John Baxter said: "We’re delighted to be main sponsor for Maidstone at a particularly exciting time in the club’s development."
