Lloyd Hume will be in the dug-out for the first time this season when Maidstone United face Tonbridge Angels in their Ryman Premier Division derby at Homelands on Saturday.
The Maidstone joint-manager has completed his six-game touchline ban, after the FA imposed the suspended punishment in July, after he was found guilty of misconduct, following an incident at Hendon in April.
Hume(pictured) said: "It has been hugely frustrating and can’t wait to be back. You get a better view and understanding of the game on the line, sitting in the stand you are too far away to make a difference. I’m always very vocal but it can be confusing for the players to hear two voices shouting at them at the same time.
Hume seems to have a love-hate relatonship with some Tonbridge fans but added: "I don’t understand the animosity shown by some individuals but the majority of their supporters are fine. I had two spells at the club, both successful and it’s a game I look forward to."
Hume admits Stones have failed to produce at home so far this season but says they are not the only ones.
He said: "Teams seem to be doing better at home than away, so it’s not just us. We have got a lovely pitch at Ashford but I feel we haven’t performed there so far."
Striker Aaron Firth and defender James Peacock are both doubts with ankle problems ahead of the game.
