Maidstone will look forward to getting back on the road when they visit Ryman League Premier Division Tooting on Saturday.
Stones’ stop-start season continued with their fourth defeat in five league games at home to Canvey at Homelands last Saturday.
Joint-boss Alan Walker, pictured, was left "extremely disappointed" with the performance and result against the play-off-chasing Essex side.
He said: "We asked for consistency and we’ve got it – we’ve been consistently losing. We still just want to get a consistent run going.
"Hopefully, we can get back on track against Tooting because the league is still tight and, even though we have been on a poor run, we are not far off where we would like to be."
Despite slumping to 14th place, Stones are still only four points behind fifth-placed Tooting and just one point off the top eight, though they have played more games than the teams around them.
Maidstone’s away form – which has seen them win four and draw two of their nine games, conceding only seven goals in the process – gave Walker cause for optimism, as did the Terrors’ home record of four defeats and only three wins in eight games.
Walker said: "We had a bad day on Saturday but hopefully we can show the right response at Tooting."
Stones are likely to be without midfielder Tom Parkinson (hamstring), who joins James Peacock and Ashley Ulph on the sidelines.
Walker said: "With Tom out and Peacock not available, we will have to think about moving things around in midfield."
