Maidstone boss Andy Ford has urged his squad to focus on their own games.
With five teams seemingly in a battle to avoid the four relegation places in the Ryman League, Premier Division, the temptation is to worry too much about other results.
But, with trips to title-chasing Sutton on Saturday and relegation rivals Folkestone on Tuesday, Ford wants the Stones to make sure they do the business themselves.
Ford, pictured, said: "I don’t look at the league table. I’d do the same if we were at the top.
"I know we are down there and Aveley’s win in midweek didn’t help but it’s what we do and we’ve got to get back-to-back wins as much as possible."
The Stones boss is tipping Sutton, who are unbeaten at home, to gain promotion but knows Maidstone will provide them with a tougher test than in November when Sutton won 3-0.
Boosted by the return of striker Gary Wharton (hamstring) and with Jack Pallen also likely to be on the bench, Ford is in confident mood.
He said: "We’ll be stronger than when they beat us at home. If we can keep them quiet for an hour, then we can try and get something from the game."
Ford was waiting on the fitness of on-loan Gillingham midfielder Dean Rance. The 19-year-old injured his knee in training with the Gills on Monday. Danny Lye, meanwhile, has been released.
