Maidstone United boss Jay Saunders has told his players not to get carried away by their last two results.
United go to Needham Market in the FA Trophy preliminary round on Saturday having shaken off a poor start to the season with back-to-back wins over Corinthian Casuals and Chipstead.
Saunders, pictured, said: "Confidence makes such a big difference in football and winning two games with clean sheets has helped. But it’s still really early in the season so we need to keep our feet on the ground.
"We had a bad start and we can’t go resting on our laurels thinking we’re the best team in the world just because we’ve won a couple of games."
Assistant manager Steve Ward is out for a week with a hamstring injury, meaning Nicky Humphrey will partner Graeme Andrews in central defence at Ryman League, Division 1 North outfit Market.
The hosts have a reputation for free-scoring football so Humphrey and Andrews will need to be on their game as Maidstone chase a place in the first qualifying round.
Saunders said: "We won’t risk Wardy, which means Nicky will start on Saturday."
