Maidstone have named former Welling and Gravesend boss Andy Ford as their new manager.
The Stones sacked Peter Nott on Monday afternoon and Ford (pictured) is in place for the Ryman League Premier Division clash with Hendon on Tuesday night at Homelands.
His assistant will be former Stones favourite Steve Butler, who returns to the club for the third time.
Maidstone chief executive Bill Williams said: "I am delighted to have been able to secure the services of two people of the calibre of Andy Ford and Steve Butler. Both men have an exceptional amount of football experience.
"While they begin to stamp their style on the team, we urge all our fans to rally round and give us the best possible support at the forthcoming matches."
Ford takes over with Maidstone bottom of the table and four points adrift of safety after just one win in 11 games - against Kingstonian in September.
The Stones have already been knocked out of both the FA Cup and Championship Manager Cup by lower-league opponents. However, they did have a morale-boosting FA Trophy victory over Burgess Hill on Saturday.
Ford will be keen to move the Stones up the table with away games at Wealdstone on Saturday and crisis club Croydon Athletic on Wednesday on the horizon.
Will Andy Ford and Steve Butler bring the good times back to Maidstone? How difficult will the task ahead be?
