Maidstone United will play their home matches at Ashford’s Homelands Stadium after the Ryman League agreed to the proposal.

The Stones had previously been playing their home games at Sittingbourne’s Bourne Park but that agreement ended after the end of this summer.

A three year deal has now been agreed between Ryman League, Premier Division side Maidstone and their new landlords from Division 1 South Ashford.

A spokesman for the league said: "We looked into the paperwork and it’s fine."

The higher place team, which for the forthcoming season will be Maidstone, will have priority over fixture clashes but the league intend to alternate the league programme so that both teams play home games on Saturdays.

Mid-week fixtures will see the Stones playing on Tuesdays and Ashford on Wednesdays.
