Tickets for Maidstone United’s first game back in the County Town have sold out.
All 1,960 tickets for the match with Brighton on July 14 have been snapped up and chief executive Bill Williams said: "This is great news – it shows just how much passion there is for a club in the town.
"It is going to be a fantastic day and I cannot wait to see the Stones back home.
"I know some people will be disappointed not to have been able to get tickets for the first game but we will have more exciting fixtures coming up."
Mr Williams (pictured) confirmed the bad weather had delayed work this week but added: "Things are only a couple of days behind. The work to put sand and rubber crumb on the pitch should be finished early next week, fingers crossed.
"The brickwork and shuttering of the vice-presidents lounge in the stand is almost complete.
"The roof is on the clubhouse and the shuttering is going in for the walls – in the next couple of weeks the clubhouse will be enclosed.
"There is still a lot to be done but everyone is working hard to make sure it is done on time."
