Helen Grant has been re-elected as MP for Maidstone and the Weald, with a huge majority of more than 17,000.
The Conservative MP was over-the-moon with her result and thanked her constituents for their continued faith.
The story of the night though was Labour candidate Allen Simpson's remarkably increase of more than 6,000 votes to finish in second, ahead of the Lib Dems and Ukip.

Mrs Grant said: "I felt we ran a good campaign I had amazing people supporting me and it was all down to the good people of Maidstone and the Weald who trusted me and put there faith in me and I will not let them down."
Speaking earlier in the night Green candidate Stuart Jeffery, who was the first of the Maidstone and the Weald contingency, to arrive said it's been a bizarre election.
He added the local result will be what it will be but backs Labour to pull off a coup and snatch second – last time they came fourth, with Ukip and then the Liberal Democrats ahead of them.
