A £2 million bowling centre will open its doors for the first time on Tuesday, August 6.
The Hollywood Bowl will be based opposite the Odeon cinema in the Lockmeadow Centre, on Barker Road in Maidstone.
The high-tech new development will consist of 18 lanes, each one coming with scoring software that allows participants to post their strikes on Facebook.
An online booking system will also be set up to allow customers to invite friends from the social network.
Brad Milo, general manager of the Hollywood Bowl, Maidstone said: “As the UK’s biggest bowling company, we’re delighted to be opening in Maidstone and are looking forward to providing brilliant entertainment to people of all ages.
"We can’t wait for everyone to experience the new Centre for themselves. We’re already taking bookings for birthdays and Christmas parties."
The opening follows the closure of AMF Bowling on King Street, and will create jobs for previous AMF employees, as well as several new positions.
In addition, the venue will be home to Costa Coffee, a cocktail bar. and ‘Harry’s Kitchen’ – an American style restaurant.
An amusement area will also be present, with air hockey, pool tables and games machines among the entertainment.
Exclusive VIP areas will be available for hire and can be used for all events from children’s parties to teenage groups, adult nights out and corporate functions.
