A main route into Maidstone has reopened following a four-car crash.

The collision happened on the A229 Staplehurst Road near Millbrook Garden Centre shortly before 9am.

It involved a black Porsche, blue Ford Fiesta, red Mercedes and Toyota 4x4.

No injuries were reported but police officers closed the road in both directions to recover the vehicles, from Hartsfield Farm to the junction with Monk Lakes.

It had reopened by 12pm.

No arrests have been made.
