A driver killed in a suspected hit and run crash has been named.
Aiden Galvin died on the southbound carriageway of the A229 on Blue Bell Hill, near Maidstone, in May.
An inquest into the 23-year-old's death opened today.
Mr Galvin was driving his black Peugeot 206 when it overturned just before 1am on Saturday, May 25.
Police later arrested the driver of a red BMW in connection with the crash.
Assistant coroner Katrina Hepburn heard the Milton Keynes IT specialist died as a result of a traumatic brain injury.
The crash happened between the Lord Lees roundabout and the slip road for Aylesford and Eccles.
Crash investigation teams closed the southbound carriageway for around eight hours as a result.
Ms Hepburn adjourned the hearing for a full inquest in September.
She added: "There looks to be some police involvement in this case.
"It may well be, if there are criminal proceedings active, this inquest will be suspended."
A 41-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and failing to stop at the scene of a collision.
The driver, who is from Maidstone, remains on bail.
Kent Police continues to appeal for anyone who may have seen the BMW driving in the area before the crash.
Witnesses or anyone with information about the red BMW are urged to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 01622 798538 quoting reference MC/DS/61/19. You can also email sciu.td@kent.pnn.police.uk.
