Third man charged after cars stolen from driveways in Maidstone, Aylesford and Dartford

A third man has been charged after multiple break-ins in Kent where cars were stolen from driveways.

James Campbell was arrested yesterday by the Chief Constable’s Crime Squad, in connection with a series of burglaries across Maidstone, Aylesford and Dartford.

The offences are alleged to have taken place last month. Victims also reported items including power tools and wallets being stolen.

Campbell, from Tilbury in Essex, was charged with nine counts of burglary, an attempted burglary and two motoring offences.

Some took reportedly took place in Essex.

The 29-year-old was remanded to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court today.

His arrest followed that of two other suspects - Benjamin Legg, 27, and Jack Piccolo, 25 - who were previously charged with seven and 10 burglaries respectively, which also included offences in Rochester.

Legg, also from Basildon and Piccolo, of Barking, Greater London were also charged with stealing bank cards.

They appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, 28 May and are remanded to a hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on a date to be confirmed.
