A 54-year-old man admitted recklessly endangering the safety of aircraft when he appeared at Maidstone Crown Court.

Manu Chandnani also pleaded guilty to causing dangerous drugs, chlorophenyl isocynate, to be carried on a plane on May 12 last year.

The drugs had been collected from Chandnani's home in Woodlands Close, Penenden Heath, near Maidstone, by courier and taken to Heathrow Airport. They were put on a Boeing 747 jet, bound for Tehran, but were discovered at Dubai airport.

Judge Jeremy Carey adjourned sentence until October 21.
