A man was taken to a London hospital with chest injuries after a suspected knife attack in Maidstone.
Police and paramedics from the air ambulance and South East Coast Ambulance Service were called to an address in Bedford Place, off Terrace Road, at 1.40am on Friday after reports of a disturbance.
A spokesman for Kent Police said: "On arrival officers located a man with an injury to his chest.
"He was taken to a King's College Hospital by road for treatment to his injuries, which were not life threatening. He was discharged on the same morning.
"A 32-year-old man from Maidstone has been arrested on suspicion of assault and he has been bailed, pending further inquiries, until Wednesday, September 14."
He added a bladed article is believed to have been used in the assault.
A spokesman for SECAmb was unable to comment on the incident as it happened at a private address.
