A man has been arrested after reports a woman was raped.

The woman was attacked on Monday evening in Wallis Avenue, Maidstone.

A 25-year-old from north London has been remanded in custody.

Officers are investigating the attack, reported at 7.20pm on Monday.

They want to find a man seen standing in a grassed area on the corner of Bell Road and Wallis Avenue between 5.30pm and 7pm that evening.

He is white, approximately 5ft 8in, of slim build and aged between 20 and 25.

He was wearing black chino trousers and a black hooded top.
