Detectives investigating the attempted murder of a man who was stabbed by a suspected gang at his home in Yalding have made an arrest.
Police and paramedics were called to an address off Benover Road on Friday, March 16, at around 3.30am and found the man, aged in his 30s, with stab wounds.
Teams of forensic investigators remained at the site for more than 12 hours after four men were said to have broken into the property and attacked the victim.
A 41-year-old man from Ilford, Essex, was arrested in connection with the incident. He has since been bailed pending further inquiries until Monday, April 23.
Officers and investigators were seen focusing on a mobile home situated at the end of a gravel driveway. They were also spotted scouring the nearby grounds for evidence.
The Kent, Sussex and Surrey Air Ambulance was called to the attack believed to have been carried out by four men described as black and aged in their 30s.
The victim was driven to the major trauma unit at a London Hospital by ambulance where he was in a serious but stable condition.
A silver Mercedes car was later seized by police in the Tail Race at Tovil Green, near Maidstone, in connection with their investigation.
Detectives from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate are now on the hunt for the four attackers and are also appealing to the public for any information that may help their investigation.
