A fifth man arrested in connection with the murder of Andre Bent has been bailed.
Four men appeared in court yesterday charged with violent disorder after the 21-year-old was stabbed to death in Maidstone after rapper MoStack played Gallery nightclub at the weekend.
A 23-year-old became the fifth person to be arrested yesterday, this time on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon and perverting the course of justice.
He has now been released on bail until Monday, September 23.
The four men charged with violent disorder are, Yussef Abdi Aweys, 19, of Lightfoot Road, Crouch End, London, Darien Thompson-Cox, 21, of Raleigh Road, Hornsey, London, Mohamed Gelani, 23, of Newland Road, Hornsey, London and Nathaniel Small, 22, of Boyton Road, London.
Aweys, Thompson-Cox and Small were all remanded to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Tuesday, September 24.
Gelani will attend a hearing at the same court on Friday, August 29.
Four other men suffered serious injuries in the disturbance, three of whom were stabbed.
Police searching the Mill Pond of the River Len
Two knives were retrieved from the scene and today police searched the River Len near Palace Avenue as part of ongoing inquiries.
