A man has been charged after an investigation into an assault on a taxi driver in Paddock Wood in July.

Mark Heanan, 23, of Hever Road, Edenbridge, is charged with wounding with intent, after the assault on a Gravesend taxi driver on Monday, July 13.

Heanan was charged on Friday, August 14, and appeared before magistrates on Saturday, August 15.

The case was sent to Maidstone Crown Court for a hearing on Friday, August 28.

Heanen was remanded in custody.
